Workplace Diversity eLearning

Our changing world today to a multicultural, multiracial, and multilingual society has had a major impact on our cultural, social, legal, educational, economic, and political, systems. In order to survive, it is important to understand and meet the challenges of these cultural changes. As a result, diversity has taken on a new significance in the workplace.

Workplace Diversity training is an opportunity to inform and educate individuals about diversity. When individuals come to work, they bring their stereotypes and preconceived notions about other people with them. Although diversity training cannot completely change an individual's beliefs, it does have the ability to increase awareness, impart knowledge, and educate employees on how to accept differences among fellow employees, and to break down the barriers that separate different types (ethnic, social, political, etc.), of employees so they can work together and be productive as a team. Diversity training may help to prevent unlawful discrimination and harassment violations as a result of breaking down barriers and promoting better teamwork.
